Consultation has concluded

Update: This consultation has now closed.

Community engagement for the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan (GARP) has been released and is now open for consultation.

Council is not leading this process; the State Planning Commission (the Commission) and Plan SA are leading the Discussion Paper and community engagement process.

Projections show Greater Adelaide's population could grow by up to 670,000 people over the next 30 years. The Discussion Paper has been prepared to start the conversation about how our state will change over the next 30 years, where people will live, play, work, and identify land that can accommodate future housing and employment growth.

As the engagement process is being undertaken by the Commission and Plan SA, feedback should be provided in the following ways:

A number of community information sessions will be held as an opportunity to meet with State Government representatives to view maps, ask questions, and learn how to make a submission.

Registration is essential to attend a community information session and can be booked via plansaevents.eventbrite.com. Sessions are outlined as follows:

  • Attending a community drop in session at the City of Tea Tree Gully's Civic Centre on Thursday 14 September between 12pm to 7pm in the Banksia Room.
  • If you're unable to attend the above session, you can register to attend an online community information session at the below times:
    • Tuesday 3 October 2023 5.30 - 6.30pm
    • Thursday 5 October 2023 11am - 12pm

Feedback provided to Council may not be accepted by Plan SA as a formal submission during the consultation process and therefore may not be considered as part of the community engagement outcomes.

Your feedback and ideas will directly inform the development of the draft Greater Adelaide Regional Plan.
