The Golden Grove Neighbourhood Code Amendment is a developer led process and involves two stages of code amendments to rezone land to facilitate master-planned housing development of between 600-900 homes across two stages:
Stage 1 – Land north of One Tree Hill Road
Stage 2 - Land south of One Tree Hill Road
Community consultation on stage 1 occurred in September 2023. A summary of the feedback and the outcome of the Code Amendment will be provided for both Stage 1 and Stage 2 to inform the Minister’s determination.
Stage 2 proposes to rezone land to the south of One Tree Hill Road from Rural Living to Master Planned Neighbourhood and Employment zones. This proposal is supported by investigations to monitor air quality and acoustic impacts from the nearby quarry.
Consultation on Stage 2 is now open until 30 June 2025.
Council is not leading this rezoning process; the Code Amendment and community engagement process is being led by (YAS Property & Development) via their consultant URPS.
As the Code Amendment process is being undertaken by the developer, feedback should be provided to the developer in the following ways:
Online survey or submission form available via the Plan SA Website
Attending a community drop-in session at Harpers Field Community Building (two session times available, see the key dates or visit the the Plan SA website for further details)
A one-on-one meeting with the project team. Bookings can be made by contacting Taylah or Anita at URPS (the developer's consultant) on (08) 8333 7999 or via email feedback@codeamendments.com.au
Feedback provided to Council will not accepted by the developer and therefore will not be considered as part of the community engagement outcomes.
Council does not make the final decision on whether the Code Amendment is approved or refused. The final decision on whether to approved the Code Amendment or not will be made by the Minister for Planning.
For more information about the Code Amendment see the Plan SA website
Any enquiries relating to the Code Amendment should be directed to the developer on the contact details listed above and via the Plan SA website
