Council decisions/outcomes

At the Council meeting on Tuesday 28 May 2024 an Information Report was provided to Elected Members about the progress on this project.

From November 2023 to March 2024 over 400 community members were engaged in providing feedback through responding to a survey or attending meetings and workshops, providing valuable information to help shape the areas of focus and initiatives for the Harpers Field Wellbeing Hub. The focus areas are:

  • Physical activity
  • Social connection
  • Mental wellbeing
  • Healthy eating

A concept plan has been developed for the Harpers Field Community Building as a Wellbeing Hub, which along with the above focus areas, also outlines the primary audience, principles and strategies for the Wellbeing Hub.

The Harpers Field Wellbeing Hub Operational Group, consisting of staff from the City of Tea Tree Gully and Preventive Health SA, are continuing to meet to identify resourcing to support the project and progress the implementation of the Wellbeing Hub. This will include identifying and engaging community partners and working in collaboration to scope, plan and deliver identified initiatives.

If you have any questions regarding the Harpers Field Wellbeing Hub or would like to indicate your interest in being involved in the Hub, please do not hesitate to contact Matthew Taylor, Lead Community Wellbeing, on 8397 7444 or via our online enquiry form
