Council decision/outcome
This consultation closed on Friday 8 March 2019.
At its meeting on Tuesday 9 April 2019 Council considered the feedback received from the community and made a decision to proceed with the construction of six (6) additional multi-purpose tennis/netball courts and court lighting on the Elizabeth Street side of the Banksia Parks Sports Area complex.
Proposal: Council has accepted grant funding from the Government of South Australia, through the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, to construct six (6) additional multipurpose tennis/netball courts and lighting at Banksia Park Sports Area. The proposed concept plan also includes 30 additional off-street parking spaces on Elizabeth Street.
Installing additional courts and lighting would require an amendment to the Banksia Park Sports Area Community Land Management Plan.
