Notification of the preferred tree to be planted in your ZONE in Autumn/Winter 2020 has been provided via the contact details you listed. Consultation for tree replacement, tree site and verge management are ongoing via the contact pathways established.

Background

In the Settlement Estate, Golden Grove, Council's arborist has completed a comprehensive audit of all street trees in the Estate as part of Council’s established Street Tree Planting Program. New tree planting will replace poor performing, failed and missing street trees. Existing, healthy and appropriate trees will be retained. There will be at least one tree planted, on council land in front and also to the side of corner properties(where applicable).

Street Tree Planting in 2020

The Settlement Estate area has been divided into seven Zones and your property is in one of these Zones. The map to identify your Zone is provided in the Document Library.

You can select your preferred tree from a choice of three species and submit your choice via this feedback.

A Street Tree information sheet with a detailed description and photograph of the three trees from which to select your preferred species is provided.

We will take all preferences into consideration, with the decision on species based on the most preferred tree as indicated by resident feedback. We will let respondents know which tree species are proposed for planting in The Settlement Estate in the New Year.
