Council decision/outcomes

During the consultation period 10 people provided 28 comments across the five updated draft Asset Management Plans for Transport, Open Space, Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS), Buildings and Stormwater. The comments received were generally related to service level issues or requests for upgraded/new infrastructure. These will be considered as part of our annual budget planning process.

Minor changes were made to relevant AMPs based on the finalisation of our Disability Access & Inclusion Plan and a review of the CWMS Infrastructure Management Policy.

At its meeting on Tuesday 8 December, Council considered the feedback received from the community and made the decision to adopt the revised Asset Management Plans.

Council Report (Notice, Agenda and Reports - 8 December meeting)

Background

Council is inviting community feedback on the following Asset Management Plans (AMPs) which we have recently reviewed and updated:

  • Transport (merged former Roads and Footpaths AMPs)
  • Open Space
  • Buildings
  • Stormwater
  • Community Wastewater Management System (CWMS)

Our set of infrastructure Asset Management Plans (AMPs) are key components of our Long-Term Financial Plan and are used to guide the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of our infrastructure assets. These plans include detailed information about each asset type and define which services will be provided, how they will be provided and what funding is required to cost-effectively deliver them over a 10 year period.

While AMPs are reviewed on an ongoing basis, a full update is completed every four years (within two years after each general election of the council).

We have one other AMP: Information Technology (IT). The IT Asset Management Plan was consulted on in 2019 and therefore has already been reviewed within the legislative timeframe.

For a summary of each of the AMPs, please refer to the Summary document.

Full versions of each of the AMPs are available below:
