Grandparents grandparents everywhere
We came here 18 months ago, and discovered that we had lovely older people on both sides.
One day my young daughter realised she didn’t have grandparents in her life, and she went to the fence screaming out the neighbours names. She asked them if they could be her grandpa and grandma, and they have been ever since. A similar thing happened with the old man on the other side. So my children feel that we are surrounded by family, and are treated like grandchildren from both sides of the fence.
These relationships have been such a blessing to us, and gave us a sense of belonging in the community.
