Consultation has concluded

The close date for Neighbour Day story entries was 24 March 2019. We received a number of amazing stories and are excited to announce the three winners, which were randomly selected.

  • If I ever move… they’re comin’ with me!
  • Modbury North Story
  • Terrific St Agnes Neighbours

You can read these stories, as well as all the other amazing entries below.

To celebrate our wonderful residents and their neighbourly stories we will be putting together a bit of feature in the winter edition of the Gully Grapevine. If you would like to be involved in this story and potentially pose for a photo, please contact Matthew via email or call 8397 7444.

What makes your neighbour(s) so good?

Neighbour Day is the perfect day to get to know the people next door, across the street or on the next block. In fact, it's Australia's annual celebration of community.

It’s held on Sunday 31 March, but neighbour day could could be any day of the year.

Be part of it and hold your own a Neighbour Day event. Whether it’s a cuppa, bbq, a picnic in the park or just a simple chat over the fence, making community connections is good for you and your community. After all, the community you want starts with you.
