Background

Council is seeking feedback from the community about the installation of a new public toilet in Cobbler Creek West Reserve, Greenwith.

As part of the 2022-2023 Annual Business Plan, Council allocated $190,000 for the installation of a public toilet in Cobbler Creek West Reserve, Greenwith. The City of Tea Tree Gully currently doesn’t provide any public toilets in Cobbler Creek West Reserve.

The site proposed (after considering criteria such as area usage and available service connections) is in the section of the reserve between The Golden Way and Target Hill Road, which is co-located with the existing local playground.

Council is proposing to install one accessible unisex toilet, designed and constructed to Australian Standards for disability access. The toilet would also provide a water fountain, water bottle refill facilities and a dog water bowl.

It is recommended that the entry face into the open park space to ensure visibility from the surrounding streets and within the park. Image to the right shows the view of reserve and playground, where the proposed toilet could be placed.

More information is available in the Information Sheet

Easy Read information about this project is also available.

If a public toilet facility was to be installed in Cobbler Creek West Reserve, an amendment would need to be made to the Community Land Management Plan for Greenwith Part 2 to reflect this change. A draft amended plan is available to view
