Ridgehaven Reserve Playground Renewal

Update

This consultation has now closed. During the consultation period, a total of 37 feedback form responses were received regarding the playground design. As an overall summary feedback on the preferred style of playground was evenly split, 32% (12 people) indicated they like a combination style playground, 30% (11 people) chose the adventure style playground, 30% (11 people) chose the nature style playground and 8% (3 people) chose the traditional style playground.

We have reviewed the feedback received and developed a playground concept design, which is in the document library for your information.

Background

We are inviting the community to provide feedback on the proposed playground renewal at Ridgehaven Reserve, Leane Avenue, Ridgehaven.

Ridgehaven Reserve is an important open space and ‘play’ resource for the local Ridgehaven community. We want to better understand how you currently use the space and what changes you would like to see. We seek your ideas on the playground location, the playground style, equipment type and the landscaping of the adjacent area.

No work brief or designs have been developed at this stage for this site. Nor have any suppliers been appointed.

Council is seeking feedback from the community in two stages.

All playground equipment selections are subject to budgetary constraints. Whilst every effort has been made to provide example equipment in accordance with the allocated budget, all works remain subject to industry design, pricing and evaluation.
